Lift Ticket + Adventures:
Whistler Pride and Ski Festival
Are you ready to shred North America’s largest terrain? Reserve your lift ticket and ski/snowboard equipment online now. Looking for other adventures? We have you covered from Snowmobiling, Zip-lining, to Bobsledding.
Are you ready to shred some 8,171 acres of pure skiing and riding bliss? The Award winning Whistler Blackcomb boasts the largest ski terrain in North America, greatest vertical drop 5,280 feet, combined with over 38 feet of snow annually, 200+ trails, 37 lifts, 17 mountain restaurants, lift capacity of 67,307 skiers/hour and upgraded for this season a new Whistler village 8-person gondola to make getting to the top more comfortable. It all adds up to an epic snow-adventure! Given that the top of the mountain is just under 8,000 feet and the village just over 2,000 feet means you can ski harder and longer without having to deal with altitude sickness. Come and see for yourself what all the rage is about!
New this year, is the EPIC Pass. This is the ideal ski pass for skiers/snowboarders that will be calling one of the Vail Mountain Resorts their home mountain. The EPIC PASS will give you FIVE free days at WHISTLER BLACKCOMB, just enough for #WhistlerPRIDE25
Do you belong to the Mountain Collective Pass? The 2016/17 Ski/Snowboard Season as Whistler Blackcomb will honour these passes. For more information click here, then click on FAQs.
If you are new to snow sports or just wanting to take your skiing/riding to the next level we do recommend taking a lesson or two at the world renown Whistler Blackcomb Ski/Snowboard school. Remember to let the Snow School know that you are with Whistler Pride and they will do their best to put you with other Pride guests. This means you could have smaller and way more fabulous classes! Book by Nov. 15th and save!
Travel lighter – Whistler Blackcomb has the best and most up to date ski/snowboard equipment rentals available. So why lug your skis/snowboard and pay extra luggage fees when you can rent and take some of the stress away from your vacation travel experience. Whistler Pride is proud to work with the Salomon Store at the Pan Pacific Whistler for some of the festival rental needs.
Helpful hints for Skiers/Snowboards:
During Whistler Ski & Pride week (Mon-Sat) the festival’s dedicated ski guides meet at 9:45AM (depart at 10AM) alternating between Whistler and Blackcomb. You have the opportunity to ski with a guide along with other similar skiing/riding ability guests. It is a great way to meet new friends!
No friends on a POW day. If that is your motto then you may want to consider Fresh Tracks which gives you the ability to upload in the wee hours of the morning, have a monster breakfast buffet at the Roundhouse Lodge (Whistler) and then once Avalanche control / ski patrol gives the green light you are off to slice it up. Reminder, upload begins at 7:30AM but many others may have the same idea so make sure you haul your ass out of bed and line up early! It will be worth it.
Feeling a bit rusty? Take a ski lesson. You have a choice of group, semi-private or private. Well worth the investment early into your vacation so that by the end of the week you will be hot dogging, making you irresistible to those snow bunnies!
Raining in the village? Remain calm, you are on the West Coast… We have many micro climates so always check the Web cams (available on your mobile device or hotel concierge). When it is raining in the village it is usually snowing in the Alpine.
Foggy on Whistler? No problem jump on the Peak2Peak and head over to Blackcomb or vice versa, again micro climates on the two mountains are different. This also means you can chase the sun all day!
Non Ski/Snowboard Activities:
Whistler is a compact valley making everything super accessible. We have many incredible adventures just for the asking including:
The Adventure Group – Need to escape into an ancient cedar old growth forest and have a zen moment? Have you ever imagined flying through the sky on the longest zipline in Canada? Or perhaps ripping it up on a frozen lake with 600cc’s between your legs? Choose from Snowshoeing, Superfly Ziplining, Snowmobiling, Bungee jumping and even River rafting (yes, even in the winter!). Something for everyone.
Whistler Sliding Centre – Have a need for speed? Love roller coasters? Imagine sliding down the fastest track in the world in a bobsled or skeleton. Now you can!
Whistler Olympic Park – Experience the pristine wilderness of the Callaghan Valley just south of Whistler village, home of the 2010 Olympic Nordic events and Ski Jumping. Here you can skate-ski, Nordic / Cross-country or try your skills at the biathalon centre.
