We’ll be touching on the key topics of micro-targeting the LGBT traveler online via banner ads and Facebook, as well as delving in the world of LGBTQ travel bloggers and influencers.

– Kit Williamson + John Halbach EastSiders (Los Angeles, USA)

John Halbach and Kit Williamson are actors, internet entrepreneurs and husbands, best known as the producers and stars of the Emmy-nominated LGBT web series EastSiders (now available on Netflix). The couple met more than a decade ago in New York City, where they both performed on Broadway before making the move together to the west coast. Together, they produce a branded travel series for Out Magazine and edit the gay men’s travel and lifestyle blog Where Gentlemen Go. Because of their advertising background, Kit and John can offer much more than traditional “influencer activation.” They work with clients to create customized campaigns to help them reach the LGBTQ market, and offer detailed analysis reports with proven results.

Josh Rimer

– Josh Rimer (Vancouver, Canada)

In 2007 Josh Rimer had “the most discussed video of all time” on YouTube and has since uploaded hundreds of videos which now have over 10 million views. He adds two videos every week to his YouTube channel, which has over 30 thousand subscribers, and he can be seen every day on Canada’s LGBT TV station OUTtv, where his videos air between regular programming. His focus is on showcasing LGBT-friendly travel destinations and he features a new one every two weeks across his social media accounts as well as in his show “The Travel Tidbit”.

Stefan and Sebastien are a gay couple from Europe who quit their lives and jobs in London in June 2014 to travel the world. Karl and Daan, a German-Dutch gay travel blogger couple happily based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Their blog is about Life of two (gay) men loving and travelling the world together. Karl Krause is a Blogger, Content & Social Media Manager for Snowplaza and freelance blogger for several gay travel websites. Whistler Pride January 21-28, 2018Join us in this free public event of celebrating diversity on and off the slopes at Whistler Blackcomb

Location: Starts at Whistler Mountain Mid Station at Olympic Run to the Skiers’ Plaza at the base of the GLC and then march through the village to the Whistler Olympic Plaza.
Details: Whistler’s 8th annual Pride Parade will begin at 3:30 as skiers hoist aloft the larger-than-life Pride flag while slaloming down the mountain to the village where they will join the crowd of village pedestrians to then march through the village to end at the Whistler Olympic Plaza. The classic Après T-Dance tops off the afternoon post march.

Get dressed up, wave your flag, create some noise and most of all have fun!

Please note: If you are planning to ski down with the Pride Flag we suggest you assemble at Mid Station around 3:00PM.Whistler Pride Parade

The Whistler Pride Parade began in 2010 during the Olympic Winter Games. A group of LGBT sports activists lead by Dean Nelson, Ken Coolen and Mark Tewksbury marched from the Pride House located at the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre to the Whistler Olympic Media House, located at the Maurice Young Millennium Place. Dean Nelson along with his LGBT sports activists (Jennifer Birch-Jones, Caryl Dolinko, and Mark Tewksbury) held a press conference condemning the homophobic remarks made against Olympic figure skater, Johnny Weir.

Join us in celebrating the 8th Annual Pride Ski Parade at Whistler Pride! The birthplace of the Olympic Pride House movement.
