Location: Starts at Whistler Mountain Mid Station at Olympic Run to the Skiers’ Plaza at the base of the GLC and then march through the village to the Whistler Olympic Plaza.
Details: Whistler’s 8th annual Pride Parade will begin at 3:30 as skiers hoist aloft the larger-than-life Pride flag while slaloming down the mountain to the village where they will join the crowd of village pedestrians to then march through the village to end at the Whistler Olympic Plaza. The classic Après T-Dance tops off the afternoon post march.

Get dressed up, wave your flag, create some noise and most of all have fun!

Please note: If you are planning to ski down with the Pride Flag we suggest you assemble at Mid Station around 3:00PM.Whistler Pride Parade

The Whistler Pride Parade began in 2010 during the Olympic Winter Games. A group of LGBT sports activists lead by Dean Nelson, Ken Coolen and Mark Tewksbury marched from the Pride House located at the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre to the Whistler Olympic Media House, located at the Maurice Young Millennium Place. Dean Nelson along with his LGBT sports activists (Jennifer Birch-Jones, Caryl Dolinko, and Mark Tewksbury) held a press conference condemning the homophobic remarks made against Olympic figure skater, Johnny Weir.

Join us in celebrating the 8th Annual Pride Ski Parade at Whistler Pride! The birthplace of the Olympic Pride House movement.
